FAQS

BUSINESS PRACTICES

Do you meet with couples?  When and where do we meet?
I generally meet with couples in the evening during the week or on the weekend if no event is scheduled.  I try to choose a location, usually a bookstore or cafe, that’s convenient for everyone.

What do you bring with you for our meeting?
I bring my portfolio which has images from many weddings, as well as sample albums and a kit with information for you to take home.

What if someone else is interested in our date? How do we secure our wedding date?
I let all parties know when more than one couple is interested in the same date. I try to accommodate the first couple that requested the date however the only way to officially secure the date is with a deposit.

When is the balance due?  Do you have a payment plan?
The balance is broken into three payments.  There is an initial deposit of one third of the balance to hold the date, a second deposit of one third due the day of the wedding and a final payment of the remaining balance due upon receipt of the final product.

What if we cancel?  Can we get our deposit back?
If cancellation is more than 5 months before the wedding date you will receive a full refund.  If cancellation is less than 5 months before the wedding date you will receive a prorated refund based on the date of cancellation.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Will you be photographing my wedding?  What is the role of the second photographer?
I personally photograph every wedding from start to finish.  The second photographer’s role is to photograph the wedding from a different perspective, assist in organizing the portrait session and to cover simultaneous events such as the bride and groom getting ready in two different locations.

How many images will you take of my wedding? Do we get all the images?
We take thousands of images at each wedding.  Most images are duplicates of the same moment so we may choose the best few.  Depending on the number of hours of coverage the images are edited down to between 600-1200 images.  These images will be available online as well as on the DVD.

How long do you need for the portrait session?
A typical portrait session requires forty five minutes to one hour to complete.  If you wish to include extended family and friends outside of parents and the bridal party please allow additional time.

Do you charge overtime if the reception runs late?
I will not charge overtime if the reception goes over by up to 30 minutes.  Should this occur you will be informed as overtime nears.  If the coverage exceeds 30 minutes a charge of $200.00 for the hour will apply.

What do you and your second photographer wear to the wedding?
We wear business attire to all weddings, unless there is a special request based on religious necessity.  This usually includes dress slacks, button down shirt and dress shoes.

Do you have backup equipment?
Yes!  Both photographers carry full backup for their entire kit including camera bodies, lenses, flashes and memory cards.

Do you mind if family and friends take photos? What about a videographer?
Family and Friends are welcome to take photos and I work with videographers on a regular basis.  Most times I contact the videographer ahead of time so we may work together at your wedding.

ONLINE VIEWING

How long before I can view my wedding images online? How do I access the site?
Your wedding images will be available for viewing one month after your wedding date.  Collages.net will send an e-mail with the user name and password for your event.  This information can then be forwarded to family and friends.

Do I have to order prints through Collages.net?
No, you can use your DVD and have prints made at any photo lab.

How long will the images be online?  Is there a fee for additional time?
Your wedding images will be online for sixty days after the gallery is posted.  After that time the gallery may be extended for an additional fee

DVD

What type of images are on the DVD? Why do you use DVDs?
The DVD contains all high resolution JPEG images from your wedding day that may be printed as large as 11X14.  This DVD comes with a copyright release permitting reproduction at the photo lab of your choice.  High resolution image files are quite large and a DVD allows for the storage of the whole wedding on one disc.

How long before I receive my wedding images on DVD?
Your DVD will be shipped one month after your wedding.

CELINE COUNTRYMAN ALBUMS

How long before I receive my Celine Countryman album?
Your scrapbook style album will be completed and ready for shipment four weeks after your wedding.  Please add an additional week for Parents Albums.

ZOOK BOOK ALBUMS

How do I choose the images I want for my album? How will you know what I have chosen?
Simply create a folder on Collages.net entitled Album Images.  Select the images for your album and place them in the folder.  Once finished, e-mail the user name and password used to log in so I may access your folder.

What if I want more images than the recommended amount for my album?
Depending on the amount I will try to design them into your existing album however more pages may need to be purchased.

How long before I can review  the pages for my digital album? How will I view  them?
Once the images are chosen the album will be designed in three weeks.  The pages will then be posted to my web site and I will e-mail you a link, user name and password for viewing and approval.

What if I don’t like something about the pages?
You will have two sessions to make any changes such as image substitution or background color.

When will I receive my completed album?
Once the pages have been approved the completed album will be ready for shipment in four weeks.
